Law of Energy Conservation Philosophy in Human Life

Are you familiar with the Law of Energy Conservation?

It is one of the prominent physic laws which states, “Energy can neither be created nor destroyed, it only changes its form.”

The sum of all energies remain the same, from the time of creation until its eventual end. However, although the value remains, energy can change form. Water turns into vapor when heated, wood into fire, electric converted into kinetic energy, and so on.

However, the Energy Conservation Law (will be referred as “ECL” from this point) is not only a mere physic law. Few people realize that it also plays a vital role in our life as a human, a being that is not just quantitative as in science, but also qualitative. The things that happen in our life follows the ECL.

1. ECL in Human Life

The ECL guarantees that every form of energy that we give will never vanish. Nature guarantees that the value of energy that we yield equals to the value of energy we give.

Everyday, we give many forms of energy: working, greeting friends and colleagues, teaches other people… All of those will not be in vain because the energy doesn’t vanish. The energy will produce another form of energy; a paycheck from our boss, trust and bond from friends, etc. According to ECL, the value of energy which comes back at us is the same with the value we give.

It means, what we do in this world will have a same value with what we receive.

If we give energy with the value of 100, we will eventually receive 100 as well. If we give effort that is worth 1,000 $, we will receive what is worth 1,000 $, no more and no less. So if we want to get 1,000 $, you must give effort that is worth the same value. ECL will guarantee its cause-and-effect.

But, is it really true?

Often, we feel that our lives don’t follow this. Often, we doesn’t receive appropriate reward for our efforts. We give a 1,000$-worth effort, but we only receive 700. Where is the remaining 300? Does the universe corrupted it? The law is wrong? Or is there another reason?

There might be two possibilities:

First, the 1,000 have already returned to you. But, it doesn’t came back entirely in the form of money. The remaining 300 might already came in another form, for example a reputation, fame, trust from your co-workers and boss, or a chance to get even more profit!

Secondnot all of the result can be felt immediately. Because, the result in ECL consists of two aspects: Visible result (VR), which is a result that you can feel immediately, and Energy Saving (ES), which isn’t immediately felt or liquidated.

In the above example, you gave 1,000 and received only 700, so you have a saving of 300.

If we see physics, this law stays true, because the effect of energy isn’t always felt immediately, energy can also be saved in the form of potential energy. For example, water in a dam. The water is static, doesn’t move, and does nothing. However, the water has a potential energy that will eventually be liquidated. Once the dam is opened, the energy will turn into kinetic energy as the water rush down, and can be used to spin the turbines to generate electricity. Finally, we can see the result of the energy stored in the water.

The above passage assures us, that the energy saving we have is our potential energy. It will eventually turn into a visible result.

1.1. Qualitative Trait of Human Energy

Human is different. We have a soul, spirit, and a free will. Because of that, the “energy” we speak of in this article isn’t really the same understanding of the “normal” energy in physics.

While energy in its literal definition has a neutral value and is quantitative, human’s energy has a qualitative trait, which means it can be either positive or negative.

The quality of result which we receive depends on the energy we give; if we give positive energy, we will receive positive results back. If you study diligently, your knowledge will expand. If you do good to other people, people will love you. Meanwhile, if you do negative things, you will also receive the same. If you talk badly about people behind their backs, people will trust you less. If you cheat somebody, they will in turn hate you. It also counts as negative if you do good deed but not sincerely.

In conclusion, if you do something bad, you’re actually hurting yourself.

1.2. Closed System of a Human

Different from the energies we find in nature, the cycle of energy which humans give reside in a closed system. It means, the energy from one person will return to the same person. The positive and negative energies we save will be liquidated for ourselves, nobody else.

Even when we see the “real” science, this concept exists. Every human has their own unique “frequencies” which is the “account number” of his/her energy savings. That frequency is unique and cannot be traded. This “frequency” is the object of study of radiosthesia and can be used to locate or identify people.

1.3. Liquidation of Energy Saving

Our energy saving will be liquidated in the world and everything will be balanced, because if someone passes away with his/her energy saving remains, the total sum of energy in the world will decrease, and it violates the Law of Energy Conservation (energy cannot be created nor erased).

Furthermore, when our energy saving is liquidated, it will be liquidated in one or more of: Gold, Glory, Wisdom, and Love. When it becomes “Gold,” it returns as a financial earning, such as income, wealth, and so on. When it becomes “Glory,” it might return as a promotion, more power, or more access to various parties. Meanwhile, if it returns as “Wisdom,” it can return as wider knowledge, his/her opinions are waited by people, or his ideas are liked by people. Last but not least, “Love” returns as fame, followers, good relation, or love in a literal meaning.

On the reverse side, negative results in “Gold” can mean a loss of financial wealth, loss of health, or failed business. As “Glory” it can return as demotion, stuck-career, or loss of access. With “Wisdom,” it can mean a slow to no improvement in knowledge, or loss of credibility from other people. In “Love,” it can be hate from other people or a betrayal.

2. ECL in our Daily Life

2.1. Difference between Causality and ECL

According to Causality, if we do an action toward something, the effect will come from that same thing — so in extension, if we do good to someone, something good will come from that person. However, ECL is different from causality. The result we receive doesn’t always come from the same person, it can come from other person.

This is because the ECL has a wider meaning from causality. Let’s say you give an effort of 100 to someone, you’re nor guaranteed to receive 100 back from the same person only; you might receive less than 100, but from different people, and in the end, it will still sum to 100.

2.2. Luck and Disaster

We often see things like somebody unexpectedly received a stroke of luck, or “durian jatuh” in Indonesian slang term, or at other time, a disaster.

That stroke of luck or disaster is the time when our energy savings get liquidated. ES turns into Visible Result (VR), so the more we receive luck, our saving will also decrease. Thus, if we want to have lots of luck (or “unexpected help in the right time and right place”), we must do more good things in life!

2.3. “Inborn Fate” and ECL

What about people who were born poor or wealthy?

The former was born with negative VR, while the latter was born with positive VR. The former lives through hardship, while the latter grows up with facilities. Isn’t that just unfair? How do ECL explains that?

The presence of positive or negative VR without preceded by an effort is a phenomena which can be likened to a Down Payment or “DP.” The poor baby receives negative DP and the wealthy positive DP.

It is likened to a DP because the person must prove that he/she is worthy of those VRs. If someone receives a positive DP of 100, he/she must do an effort of 100 so the equation is balanced.

If the person only do an effort of 50, he would have a savings of (-50) to balance. This negative energy saving will eventually came back as disaster or misfortune.

For example, many people who receives a positive DP like huge lottery instead receives misfortune, like had their properties stolen, gossiped by people, and the like. That happens if they cannot “pay” the positive DP they received.

A baby who is born rich must do good in his life, so he can prove that he deserves the fortune he had received.

Someone who is born with positive DP isn’t guaranteed to have a better life with those who receive negative one, because if the one born with negative DP enrich his efforts in life, he/she might have a happier life in the future.

For example, someone was born with a DP of (-100). To reach a VR of 100, he/she must work really hard to get an effort of 200 (200 – 100 = 100). When he/she finally reaches a VR of 100, he/she still has a saving of 100.

That big saving of 100 is what will return to him/her in later life and will prosper his/her life.

Realistically speaking, we have way too many examples of people who were born poor or in a bad condition, but later grows up to a big person, much bigger and/or wealthier than those who were born rich. We know Abraham Lincoln, who is a peasant’s son but became a president of USA, Oprah Winfrey, a neglected and poor child who had now become one of the richest and most influential person in the USA, or Martha Tilaar, a child who was diagnosed with slow-learning but became a leader of a cosmetic corporation Sari Ayu, and many more.

2.4. When is the Time for Liquidation?

We never know when our savings will be liquidated, but one thing for sure, it will be liquidated at the right time. If it is liquidated when we’re not ready yet, it will be in vain. We are like a container, and fortune as the water. If there is more water than what we can contain, the water will overflow and be in vain.

If we receive a promotion while we’re not ready physically or mentally, we might end up being in stress because our lack of competence. Or, an unfitting person receives an unexpected big amount of wealth and become what Indonesian call “OKB” (Orang Kaya Baru; new rich people). Because their mentality is still of a lower economy class, the wealth might end up wasted up on unnecessary things.

So, to get our savings to be liquidated, we must prepare and continue to forge ourselves to be a better “container.” ES can be liquidated as Gold, Glory, Wisdom, or Love. What do you want? If you want Glory, prepare your expertise in that field, and so on.

What about people who get a lot of money but end up unable to manage it and end up going bankrupt.

In their cases, the Gold and/or Glory didn’t come from the liquidation of ES, but rather another positive DP. If the positive DP isn’t balanced with an equivalent effort, the negative ES will eventually come back at them.

3. Conclusion

Now we have learned a lot about the Law of Energy Conservation in human lives. Every positive things we do will come back to us, and so do the negative ones. So, let’s start doing our best to do good. Avoid the negative actions, especially hurting other people’s feelings. Use the assets that God has given us to produce goodness, and may fortune be ever in your favor.

Are you ready to start it?

  1. nice topic, many of this philosophy influenced in human life, especially about Inborn fate and ECL

many humans working for their life. means hard worker = good things to managed your life
and meanwhile being lazy = death. Did I say death? Yes, I said that.
too live, you need effort and accept your result from your effort.
do many effort means you get many experience for future while do less effort means you got less experience for your life.

    Worth to Read

    sekian :p

    • Thanks for your comment. Actually, one of the goal of this post is to enlighten people that karma does exist, however, I guess you do have a good point there, which I overlooked.

It really is bad if someone takes it the wrong way and be “perhitungan,” but I am sure that a good deed which is not sincere also has a negative value in it, because it is “hypocrisy with a softer name,” and thus counts as bad, so the said person might not reap as much as he should’ve received IF he was sincere.

  3. Nice article..but don’t really agree..there’s known a so-called term “perfect crime”, and I just can’t accept ‘karma’, I’d love to reject those challanges, if I don’t believe in it..

    • Thank you for your comment. As far as I know, “perfect crime” is rather unrelated with the topic being discussed. According to wikipedia, perfect crime means “crimes that are undetected, unattributed to a perpetrator, or else unsolved as a kind of technical achievement on the part of the perpetrator.”

However, your opinion is interesting, perhaps you want to share with us why you disagree with karma? It may expand both of our perspectives.

      • hm makany gw bikin tanda kutip..di sini yg gw maksud perfect crime itu bukan arti sebenerny, more like analogy- yg gw maksud itu, “suatu saat akan terbalas” itu belom tentu- if u do something perfectly without giving any chance for random things to happen, and u really finish it up perfectly, 0% of possibility for random things to reveal ur “crime”, in this case ‘ur bad action, can be achieved..

dan di sini ada relasi ny ke karma..”karma” is out of this so-called matter, “perfect crime”, soalny karma sumberny dari mana aja kita gak bakal ambil POV scientist dari sini, although sistem karma sendiri “mgkn” bs jadi hal ilmiah, tapi secara ilmu alam nyata, karma masih supernatural..

karma misalny, yg anda sebutkan..kenapa hanya dg 20% effort menghasilkan 100%, kekny kok “nggak adil”, jadi next time, pasti orang yg dapet 100% result bakal kena karma burukny..jadi balik lg hasilny 20% lg..especially, tanpa sebab yg jelas..misal tiba2 terjadi hal2 random begitu- yg entah dari mana..padahal yg dia lakukan jelas2 perfect, menutup semuamen peluang dengan cara yang bs dijelaskan secara ilmiah..

maap segini aja dl ngetik di hp..rada cape..kalo ada bg yg kurang jelas nanti gw reply lg..spesifik aja..anyway, this is my “philosophy”..jadi beda2 tiap orang, so kalopun yg mau di-discuss, yg bs di-discuss itu bagian POV kita, bukan buat cari jawabanny..karena gak ada jawabanny..after all, this topic is about rhetorical statement, hypothetically this is still a pseudo

        • Well, I agree with some of your opinions, but I disagree with some others.

It is true, that we can’t really find an “answer” since this is something intangiable and uncountable. However, securing 0% possibility of random thing from happening is impossible. Even if someone can hide all of their crimes, “punishment” don’t always come from the victim or from authority. It can come from bad luck or inner punishment (guilt) — This is what is explained within the ECL philosophy.

Meanwhile, ensuring random things from happening is impossible. You can drive in a car as good as the best driver in the world, but that will not ensure you won’t be hit by a random driver speeding up mindlessly from a blind spot. It is the analogy of this situation. Please don’t misunderstand my argument as stubbornness, but things are called “random” because it is unpredictable. And there are way too many variables in life that cannot be predicted by any means.

          Lastly, your thought is good!
“kenapa hanya dg 20% effort menghasilkan 100%, kekny kok “nggak adil”

This is a totally separate matter from the current topic, but let me give a little answer. You see, we can achieve the result we desired through at least two ways: Work Hard and Work Smart. When likened to a see-saw, “Work Hard” can be likened to putting two items of equal weight on both ends.

Meanwhile, “Work Smart” don’t put two items of equal weight. It puts one lighter and one heavier (the heavier one is the result we desired), then it shifts the balance toward the heavy one. Just as the law of physics, because the balance shifted, it doesn’t require as much weight to lift something heavier. The act of “shifting the balance” is what we call “Work Smart.” For example, work hard is “writing down on a piece of paper a long list,” while work smart is “typing down the said list with a computer then print it.” It requires less amount of energy, but achieves the same result. “Effort Value” is not non-existant, it is just different in form.

  4. hoo, interesting, more or less conceptnya sama dengan yang ada di pikiran saya
but this one is already in written form nya jadi bisa dibaca orang banyak, semoga banyak yang terinsiprasi (y)

  5. Wow, that’s epic… it never crossed my mind before.

you’ve successfully integrated science and philosophy into one great passage. Salute!

the topic itself is nice… it really is inspirational and reminds us to always do good.

    • Thanks! The credits don’t go to me alone, though, I owe a lot of thanks to the books I read, especially the “Kubik Leadership” mentioned in the reference. 🙂

Let’s begin to do good in our everyday!

  6. worth reading, too bad I still have one more assignment to do >.>
I’ll try to read them as soon as I could.
And as always, nice one Kev 🙂
I haven’t read the whole thing but kinda grasped the gist of it through a perspective of happiness. I can’t really say since I haven’t read the whole article though, hopefully will write more later 🙂

  7. Very nice article. Isn’t a lot of this also included in the teaching of Jesus Christ? For example, he who comes first will finish last. In other words we must all finish together, no person left befind and so on.
